| Call for Submissions |
| |
The Review invites submissions for its first issue scheduled to be published in June 2010.
Following are the details:
 |
Author Information: |
| |
In order to ensure anonymous review, the authors are requested to give their names, biographical information, affiliations, and acknowledgments on a separate cover page. |
| |
|
 |
Word Limit: |
| |
Articles should be between 3000 to 10000 words in length, including text and footnotes; case reviews, between 1000 and 2000 words; legislation reviews, between 800 and 1500 words; and book reviews, between 600 and 1200 words.
If a submission goes beyond the above-specified limit, it can still be considered for publication in exceptional cases.
Most importantly, no piece will be rejected for lack of space. If the author agrees, the Review will consider it for the next issue. |
| |
|
 |
Citation Style: |
| |
Authors are requested to use footnotes, not endnotes. Also, submissions should preferably adhere to the 18th edition of The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation. It can be accessed at http://www.legalbluebook.com. |
| |
|
 |
Email Submission and Submission Deadline: |
| |
Authors must submit their manuscripts via email, in the form of attachment, in MS Word format. Submissions must be emailed to coordinator.lpr@umt.edu.pk. In the subject line of the email, the word “submission” must be mentioned followed by the author’s last name. The two must be in block letters, separated by a dash. |
| |
|
| |
The last date for submissions is January 31, 2010. |
| |
|
 |
Notifications: |
| |
A notification of acceptance, rejection, or need for revision will be given within 4-5 weeks of the receipt of manuscript. Once a manuscript is accepted, the review period is estimated to be 4-6 weeks. |
| |
|
 |
Review Process: |
| |
After its acceptance, a manuscript is reviewed anonymously, by at least two editors, without regard to the author’s name, affiliation, etc. |
